Dancer Health: Dancing Injured

Every dancer, athlete, and active person has had that moment when they get injured in some capacity but must continue on dancing, playing a sport, or keeping up with their kids.  Just recently I had two injuries that should have taken me “out of the game” so to speak, but instead I kept dancing injured. Inventory Updates: November

At Chicago Dance Supply we try to keep every size, shoe, and leotard color in our store all of the time everyday. However, it doesn’t always work that way, so we are bringing back the inventory updates blog. Every month a new blog will be started and kept up so that our shoppers can refer to it to know when our stock is replenished and when new items come in!

What Dancers Need to Stay Warm

At Chicago Dance Supply we try to keep stocked and ready for whatever Chicago weather has to bring our way. It is very hard for dancer’s to stay warm during winter while they are dancing. Often we are more prone to injury because we either don’t properly warm up or because after we warm up we get cold while waiting for our turn across the floor. I believe with the right attire and knowledge one can stay warm and be injure free all winter long!

At Chicago Dance Supply we sponsor many local companies and their dancers. This allows us to provide the dancers with clothes, shoes, and warm -ups for their shows. I am here to give you a view into the behind the scenes of what a dancer needs in order to get ready to perform.

I’m not a doctor, but I’m here to address the issue for us dancers, as a dancer that struggles with this as well!
